The Hill Family Loft was founded in 2004 by twelve original pigeons. Seven of those birds are still present in the breeding stock of the loft. Most of the birds are from Doo Drop Inn Loft of Vern Crawley of Durango Colorado. He spares no expense to bring in the best birds possible. The bloodlines are futurity tested and result selected. A few select birds have been added to the colony, some from Vern and a few from other sources.

The Hill Family of Birds is a performance family of racing pigeons based around some of the best futurity bloodlines along with bloodlines from Belgium and the Netherlands. The pedigrees have many of the greats, with Janssen birds establishing the base of this family. We have attempted to obtain the best birds available. Our attempt is to selectively breed a family of high performing birds with great conformation and pedigrees. The following key birds along with their top offspring are the foundation of our loft.

"801" AU 06 LCC 801 x "The First Laidy" IF 04 YORK 836

These birds were on Loan for the 2009 breeding season from Mark Raymond "Ace In The Hole" Loft along with an "801" daughter. I liked the results I was seeing. AU FM 7732 off of "801" was my second best young bird in 09. We had four top 10% finishes out of the four birds flown. I stocked a few off of "801" and they showed good results in 2010 also with an equal 1st race win by 7 minutes at 250 miles and five more top 10% finishes out of 8 birds raced. More of this blood has been stocked to cross for 2011 young birds. "801" is out of the best David Clausing's Houbens. York 836 is out of "President" blood from "Smith Family Loft".
